【Efficacious Amulets】Rich Merchant Likes Buddha Amulet

Paichit Kultang Wattana, at 52 in 2555 BE (AD 2012), is Sakon-Nakhon-born and a excellent merchant commonly known as "The Rich Paichit." After obtaining a master's degree, Paichit attended Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University to continue his study to earn a doctor's degree. Paichit owns two appliance companies.

Paichit, having experienced the monk's life for a period of time, knows well the Buddhist ritual and chants Buddhist sutra in the morning and at night. He said that Buddhism is built on the basis of the practice of Buddhist rituals and that people will undoubtedly reap good harvests if keeping obeying Buddhist ethics, being disciplined, and doing good deeds.

Familiar with Luang Pu Fan (Thai: หลวงปู่ฝั้น), the guru monk of Sakon Nakhon Province, Paichit had frequently gone to the temple to worship the master. Despite that LP Fan had passed away, Paichit still often visited the temple to worship the master's statue as if he were alive.

Paichit likes collecting Buddha amulets, including those of LP Fan Portrait and those made by other guru monks. Paichit will give Buddha amulets with the same types to other people as a way to make fortune and wealth passed out.

The Buddha amulet Paichit wears often is the rarely seen "Luang Pu Fan Portrait Amulet, Rian Tomu." "Tomu" (Thai: โต๊ะหมู่) means "set of altar table." Paichit uses the amulet clip instead of a necklace to wear his amulet.

Paichit considers it important to pay more attention to Three Karmas – body karma, speech karma and mind karma – by cultivating good actions, speaking good words, and having good thoughts. And the Five Precepts are basic ethical guidelines. One, even though having wore the Buddha amulet, couldn't be blessed if failing to conduct good deeds.

Since wearing Buddha amulets, Paichit has always felt a peaceful, calm, and concentrated mind, and had a well-ordered life. He has it credited to the blessings of Buddha.
