Thai famous TV program "My God" (คุณพระช่วย) had aired about 

discussion of Kumantong that bring wealth to human on May 7th, 2011. 

The disccussion topic was shared by Jack and Jill, former artists in Thai regarding Kumantong. 

They were famous artists before switching to cosmetic business.

The belief of Kumantong is circulated from ancient Thai. It helps in business or serves as guardian. Kumantong can bring wealth and fulfill your wishes. Therefore, many people 

in Thai would worship Kumantong. 

In the show, the host jokes that Jack and twin brother Jill as singers 

and celebrities of this new era who are not even aged 40 should have indulged 

in internet world or technology, but who could think that they 

actually have the habit of raising Kumantong.

  

As we all known that the outbreak of economic crisis on June 1997 in Asia 

had major impact in Thai and South Korea. After a year of crisis, 

Thai’s enterprises and companies that went bankrupt and closed were more than ten thousand. 

Number of unemployed people had reached 27 million and there were massive 

outflow of private capital. A bankrupt country with external debt 

had made the number of suicide people increased in alarming numbers.

Help of Kumantong

Thai former artists, Jack & Jill were also facing bankruptcy during the crisis. 

They faced the same situation as others, which led them to an end of road.

Jack had only less than one thousand baht left. That day, 

he went home with his exhausted mind and body. Then suddenly 

he noticed the Kumantong in his home. He knew the existence of 

Kumantong but he knew nothing about it. He only knew that his parents 

are worshiping that three or four centuries old Kumantong.

In his thought, he had noticed the Kumantong anyway. 

It is worth a try to ask help from Kumantong.

“Yong(Name of that Kumantong), you should be three to four hundred years old right? 

If you really exist, please help me in my career. Let my comestic business become better. 

If my wish come true, I will find another Kumantong as your partner.”

His wish was accomplished and his business was getting well later. 

He committed what he had promised to the Kumantong and had got the Kumantong partner. 

Now the brothers have more than a thousand Kumantong.
