Yodchai Meksuwan was a super star decades ago, starring in the highly famous movie "I Will Still Love You Tomorrow."
At the age of 7, Yodchai went to Wat Hong Rattanaram in Bangkok and as a young monk lived with the deputy abbot Phra Kru Promyannimith. He is proud of his experience of becoming a popular star from a background of a young monk.
Phra Kru Promyannimith
As a super star, Yodchai said, he had little break time. Mentioning the efficaciousness of Buddha amulets, he said one day he acted in a movie until 3:00AM and had to rush to another film set. He didn't feel fatigued when driving and thought himself awake, only to still fall asleep.
All of a sudden, feeling tapped by someone, he abruptly got awakened and saw a fast-running trailer rushing head-on. He might have died from a car accident if he had not shunned away successfully.
He specifically said that he was coming around safe probably because the god of death had decided to let him go. If not being awakened in time, he would have not had the chance to be awake anymore. So far he still has no idea who did him such a great favor. When driving a car Yodchai often wears two Buddha amulets: one is an amulet of Wat Rakang which had been long held by Phra Kru Promyannimith who gave it to Yodchai when he was a young monk; another is a Ganesha amulet consecrated by a master in Ratchaburi Province.
"Before asking for enshrining the Ganesha amulet, I dreamed of a gargantuan being with an elephant head and dressed in pink coming to me," he said. "After awake, I felt an unease and hurried to worship Ganesha in the Hindu temple at Silom Road in Bangkok, where I found the Ganesha there has exactly the same appearance with the being in my dream. I never imagined that Ganesha would come to my dream."
