Abbot:Phrakru Khampandit
Temple:Wat Duang Khae (วัดดวงแข)
Wat Duang Khae is a private-owned temple. It was estimated to be built during the era of King Rama III and given the land owning permit by the king in BE2370. However the building year of Wat Duang Khae might be earlier. Anyway its builder’s name was not recorded.
The original name of Wat Duang Khae was actually Wat Kae. Its name was changed as the temples committee had considered that many temples had the same name and it should change a new name. Therefore, it was later named as Wat Duang Khae in BE2460.
The current abbot is Phrakru Khampandit, 68 years old, and had been ordained as monk for 48 years. He is a high moral and kind-hearted master respected by many devotees. He became a novice in BE2487 and officially became a monk in BE2500. He had learned Buddhist Sutra from Luang Pu Test Testrangsi for two years. He stayed in Wat Duang Khae in BE2510 and became the representative of abbot in between BE2537 to BE2550. He then officially became the abbot of temple in BE2550.
