Wat Khuha Sawan (Thai: วัดคูหาสวรรค์) is an old temple which was estimated builtin time of Ayutthaya. However the temple builder was unknown. According to map of Ayutthaya temples, the original name of this temple was Wat Salasina.

Wat Salasina was private built temple. It was classified as “Worawihan”, the third level of royal temple and granted as Buddhist religion land by King Rama I in BE2320.

The King had shifted a beautiful Buddha statue known as Phra Buddha Tewapatimakorn enshrined in the temple to enshrine inWat Chetuphon Vimolmangklararm. It was a Buddha statue in meditating posture, with knees length 260cm. The King had made another new Buddha statue to enshrine in Wat Salasina and changed the temple name to Wat Khuha Sawan as we known now.

The current abbot of Wat Khuha Sawan is Phra Sitthiyanmuni; Buddhist name: Sup Panyo. He is the 11th abbot of the temple. He had provided a place in temple for novices to learn Pali language.

The Buddha amulets made in temple would need the devotees make an order first before the master makes the amulets. However, devotees need to wait for up to 3 months to get the amulets as master needs to consecrate the amulets.

The picture below shows that amulets in consecration process are mostly taken by devotees but they still need to wait for 3 months to get it for worshiping.
